This is a “tough love” intervention and a healthy small business reminder:
You cannot do it all yourself (I know, ego blast!) The power of team work is where results begin to really happen. Like Wil, Web Marketing Therapy’s Wild Web WoMAN (he’s was our first man on the team!) says: There is no “I” in TEAM (…think about it!)
Consider the importance of your team and appreciate their efforts: The acronym TEAM can be easily remembered as = Together Everyone Achieves More. As a business, particularly a small business, everyone’s contribution is ESSENTIAL. A business is not a solo effort!
As Andrew Carnegie stated (once upon a time), “Teamwork is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” Thought at times it may feel like your business is resting entirely on your shoulders, this is not so! We can only achieve so much on our own – even a little help goes a long way in ensuring our efforts = success.
T.E.A.M. = Together Everyone Achieves More
Team work is SUCCESS. The more coordinated the effort, the faster and more effective the end result will be. So take a moment to appreciate your team OR take this time to think about building a team!
In our modern day and age, with business office around the world (or on opposite ends of town) communication, coordination and mutual support are the KEYS to your success. WMT is 100% virtual and we couldn’t thrive without each other. People ask us all the time “how do you stay up on all the web rules?” and we always say that we read our own blog and learn from our colleagues (it’s true!.
Our clients hire us as virtual team members to support them so they can do what they do best and they pay others (us!) to do the rest (like web marketing!) You choose your team – choose winning players and make your team a DREAM TEAM.
Your team is like social media (which you should have heard about by now!). Whether you’re using Facebook, YouTube, Twitter or blogs, while you’re using them differently to build various customer relationships and gain exposure on several platforms, the PURPOSE is the same with teams. Work together to achieve great RESULTS!
As Wild Web Women, we all do our part individually to contribute to the common goal, but at the end of the day, we know the importance and power of our brainpower TOGETHER is what = web marketing success! We also have great allies outside of the company who we consider part of our team (attorneys, accountants, advisors, web designers, etc.)
We are a T.E.A.M (Together Everyone Achieves More)!
Make sure you’re valuing your T.E.A.M and make sure the people on it value collaboration and cooperation – that will make your organization healthy and wealthy!
Tip – Join the Wild Web Women Linkedin group to have a virtual team to collaborate with for support or join another social media virtual group (on Facebook, Linkedin, Ning, etc.) that is in line with your industry. We learn a TON from our social networks and it’s all FREE! Wheee!
