The saying “no pain, no gain” does not apply to marketing.
If marketing is causing you any sort pain, then there is something WRONG with the way you are doing it.
Marketing is not supposed to be difficult, overwhelming or stressful.
Let me repeat: Marketing is not supposed to be difficult, overwhelming or stressful.
If you are suffering from any sort of marketing stress, then you need to re-evaluate what you are doing.
The true meaning of marketing is maximizing exchanges. Know who your target market is, get clear on what problems you solve for that target, then manage marketing messaging that educates them. When your message is on brand and on purpose, then you attract the right audience.
Also remember to “do what you do best and hire others to do the rest.” If you are not good at SEO or web design, then hire help. If blogging stresses you out, then outsource it!
Marketing vendors are not all created equally. They need to make your marketing life easier and better. If your vendor causes you more work vs. takes work off your plate, then fire them. If you are spending nights and weekends blogging or posting to social media and aren’t sure if it is helping your business, then you need a new strategy.
You don’t have to suffer. If you need someone to talk to, reach out to the Web Marketing Therapy team so we can help get you on the right path.
