There is a difference between "web design" and "web marketing." When Web Marketing Therapy is hired for website design and development, we ensure that your website is more than graphics – it becomes the heart of your web marketing – designed to serve, support and sell your products and/or services.
Website Strategy, Website Design and Development
No matter how large of small your business is, you cannot afford to NOT have a website that is on brand and on purpose. Organizations do not plan to fail with their websites, but if they fail to plan (or know how to make websites strategically) money spent can be money wasted. When you invest in an expert marketing firm like WMT, your website becomes a tool to boost awareness, share information, connect with current and prospective customers, serve customers and sell.
Web Marketing Therapy's website design and development process (outlined in the book The 36-Hour Course to Online Marketing ) works. Our work involves planning, adding in expert web marketing ideas, project management, copywriting, website architecture, search engine optimization, design, development, social media design, blog strategy and post launch marketing. Healthy Marketing = Wealthy Organizations. Contact us today if you are ready to invest in a scalable web solution.
Web Design Case Studies:
Patient: Explore Ecology (exploreecology.org)
Diagnosis: A new website for better usability and honed-in messaging to communicate the value of Explore Ecology as environmental education non-profit. The website for Art From Scrap (a program of Explore Ecology) was holding the weight of the organization’s online presence but wasn’t communicating the level of environmental education offered by the program.
Prescription: To communicate the name change of Art From Scrap to Explore Ecology, Web Marketing Therapy prescribed full website, branding and photo overhaul! Consistent design was implemented through the site and all of Explore Ecology’s collateral to boost credibility and familiarity. Through carefully crafted messaging and consistent imagery we were able to communicate to the public that Art From Scrap was becoming a program of the bigger umbrella name of Explore Ecology.

Healthy Web Life / Follow-up Visit: The Explore Ecology website now houses a plethora of on-brand messaging and visuals. The new site offers visitors easy usability for smooth exploration of the programs offered by the organization, including Art From Scrap. The on-brand blog shares the wealth of knowledge offered by their educational programs. The new website is scalable and will grow with the organization.
Patient: Celebration Cruises (www.celebrationsantabarbara.com)
Diagnosis: After a super successful website and marketing overhaul for Santa Barbara Water Taxi, Captain Fred Hershman turned to Web Marketing Therapy to help create a full brand and website for his newest addition to the fleet: a 42 passenger yacht available for sunset cruises and chartered parties.
Prescription: The Celebration Cruises website needed to highlight the boat’s impressive size and luxurious services. The Web Marketing Therapy team pulled out all of the stops to create gorgeous photos and fun video pieces to live on the site (which are multitasked for other needs).
Healthy Web Life / Follow-up Visit: The Celebration Cruises website is full service for easy usability. Passengers can watch a video before boarding, get answers to frequently asked questions and check the Celebration Cruises calendar for up to date launch times. The site is an impressive and beautiful visual representation of everything Celebrations Cruise is and does.
Testimonial: "Team Web Marketing Therapy,
Thank you to you and your team for partnering with us to market our new Santa Barbara yacht cruise business. We are thrilled with the logo, brochure, business cards, photos, web site and Internet placement. You and your team did a fantastic job of coordinating the pictures for all our marketing materials and adding the right words to really make them ‘pop’!
Anyone can say their company provides “Excellent Customer Service” and they can throw around the word “partnership” but you and your team really follow through. From the first day we worked with you on our Santa Barbara Water Taxi business and going forward we’ve been very pleased with the materials and the experience of working with such a professional team.

Patient: Matthew I. Berger Law Group (www.mbergerlaw.com)
Diagnosis: Matthew’s old site lacked best practices and a professional look and feel. Confusing site architecture needed a streamlined, easy to use layout to make visitors stay and take notice to Matthew’s years of experience and range of services.
Prescription: To keep the brand look and feel consistent, Web Marketing Therapy prescribed full website, branding and photo overhaul! Consistent design was implemented through the site and all of Matthew’s collateral to boost credibility and familiarity. Matthew’s years of experience and commitment to community involvement needed to be highlighted through the site via the countless testimonials he has received from clients and colleagues.
To get the scoop on Matthew’s full rebrand visit our Branding Services page.
Healthy Web Life / Follow-up Visit: Matthew's new site is clean, professional and easy to use! Easy site navigation and great content allows visitors to quickly asses Matthew’s qualifications. The “on brand” design, color palette and handsome headshots are already getting rave reviews from Matthew’s clients!
Patient: Santa Barbara Water Taxi (sbwatertaxi.com)
Diagnosis: Captain Fred Hershman came to Web Marketing Therapy wanting web marketing to help boost his Santa Barbara water cruise business. He was diagnosed with an unhealthy website that did not reflect the amazing services offered. He needed a full web marketing breakdown to get to a web marketing breakthrough. We rebuilt the whole site from the ground up – design, photos, copy and added social media and search engine optimization.
Prescription: Mega marketing meds: "The works!" Website makeover, new photography, video production, search engine optimization, full website copywriting, social media strategy and setup, post launch marketing plan.
Healthy Web Life / Follow-up Visit: Post launch, Santa Barbara Water Taxi has had increased search visibility, gets more leads than ever and saves time because the new site is easy to use and answers common questions (like hours, types of services) so when leads call, they are pre-qualified. The Santa Barbara Water Taxi has since hired Web Marketing Therapy to manage website design and development for their new Celebration Cruises Santa Barbara business – see above!
Patient: Lorrie Thomas (lorriethomas.com)
yes, we checked ourselves into WMT!
Diagnosis: Lorrie got into the wild web consulting world in 2005 calling her business "Lorrie Thomas Web Marketing" (LTWM) As Web Marketing Therapy grew, the Lorrie Thomas Web Marketing brand was creating a "multiple personality brand disorder" issue. When Web Marketing Therapy became a corporation, it was officially time to kill the old Lorrie Thomas brand and re-purpose this website to talk about Lorrie's work as a web marketing expert and link back to the book on Amazon and to Web Marketing Therapy!
Prescription: Total website design face lift. Break up with the old LTMM brand entirely. Keep the domain since the search engines have indexed the heck out of it, but repurpose it as a personal branding platform to support speaking, training, advisory and book sales. Website design overhaul, new copy, new head shots, search optimization and social media integration.
Healthy Web Life / Follow-up Visit: Lorrie's new site is "on brand" and "on purpose". We have to walk the talk so although we'd rather work on other client sites and not our own, it was worth making sure that our CEO had her personal web brand optimized.

Lorrie was a wonderful speaker to work with from the get-go. She partnered with us to come up with custom sessions specific to our attendees’ needs and prepared each presentation with case studies specific to our industry to educate and make the web marketing material relevant. When Lorrie emerged as a speaker candidate for a session scheduled at the same time as the one she was booked for, she quickly sent us a recommendation for another speaker – that’s professional speaker service!
Lorrie had attendees attend our event specifically to attend her night school session and received rave reviews that included comments on how relevant and applicable her web marketing expert advice was. We received 100% excellent rating for Lorrie in our night school session, which is a very tough time slot in our program, since attendees have been in sessions all day.
Lorrie Thomas is an engaging and educational speaker who added great value to our event. We will work with her in the future."

My Web Marketing Therapist professional marketing team of Lorrie, Darla, Nicki, Wil and Kelly have stayed on task, on budget and on message. But, more than that, they think outside of the box, become entrenched in all my marketing on and offline, hold me accountable and offer solutions where I didn’t even know I had an issue! Isn’t that what (Web Marketing) Therapy is all about? As a solo entrepreneur, their savvy counsel and personal connection are important to me, and they are just plain fun to work with! As a result, CastCoverZ! has moved to the next level…a solid business with a tight message and SALES, SALES, SALES!"

Lorrie, Kelly, Amber and the rest of the ‘Wild Web Women’ guided me through starting my personal blog, managing my new web tools and brainstorming creative ideas for future website development. Since the initial launch of the revamped CharlieKimball.com, I have seen a significant increase in web traffic. Being able to confidently blog and tweet from the road and all the race tracks I visit throughout the year makes me feel much more in touch with my fan base. It also provides an easy way to keep my family and friends updated. Lorrie Thomas’ introduction and enthusiasm about Twitter has also given me a new avenue to explore with my sponsors."
