This Christmas year, for my family gift exchange, we had the options to make the gifts, bake them, grow them, sew them, or paint them. I decided to paint Dalai Lama quotes for my family – blog image disclaimer: I never said I was a gifted painter.

I enjoyed this gift exchange because painting turned out to be very therapeutic and it forced me to read my box of Dalai Lama quotes.  This quote is a great reminder because 2009 is approaching and I would like to be more positive and visualization will help me reach my 2009 goals.

Insight from the Dalai Lama: “Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.”

You heard it folks, straight from the Dalai Lama Insight desk calendar that sits on my desk: “BREAK THE RULES!”  Or at least learn them so you know how to break them if you ever get the opportunity.

Marketing insight gained: Take risks – better yet – take calculated risks.  Do your research before you make the big marketing leap, learn as much as you can and then jump! Assess, strategy, execute, and repeat.

One Little House

Insight from the Dalai Lama: “One of the most powerful visions I have experienced was the first photograph of the earth from outer space.  The image of a blue planet floating in deep space, glowing like the full moon on a clear night, brought home powerfully to me the recognition that we are indeed all members of a single family sharing one little house.”

Happy Thanksgiving Family!  I am thankful for Mother Earth, let’s show our gratitude by keeping our little house beautiful and clean.
