One of my favorite wild web women, Ann Kate, bold blog babe and mompreneur, shared a Huffington Post article today via Facebook called The New Power Girls: How to Know Your Value – And How To Stand On It – In Business.

This is a brilliantly written post (blog brilliant = short, simple, poignant) about what it takes to be a true Power Professional (male or female!) At the end of the day, it really is all about owning what we do well and having the guts to bring it to the table. It seems that far too often, CONFIDENCE is the missing link that keeps “professionals” from being true PROS.

The book Patricia Handschiegel is referring to in her post is called Breakdown, Breakthrough: The Professional Woman’s Guide to Claiming a Life of Passion, Power and Purpose by Kathy Caprino.

I made a New Year’s Resolution to “make more time to read marketing books to boost my she-geek status” on the Web Marketing Therapy blog, so I purchased the book today to check it out. Even though I am a diseased entrepreneur that owns it, I also own that I don’t know what I don’t know and always need to read to learn, give, grow and love…it is only through staying on my game that I can be the best web marketing therapist to help you help yourselves!Check out the book Breakdown, Breakthrough: The Professional Woman’s Guide to Claiming a Life of Passion, Power and Purpose and let me know what you think of it. I am not endorsing it…yet

This is the year to purge your professional passion. The economy sucks, which is actually a good thing…why?

Because this is the PRIME time to embrace work that rocks your world, regroup, rebuild and reposition yourself into the professional that you want to be.

Are you ready to become a Power Pro? If so, sign up for the RSS feed on the right side of this blog and jump on board….

We just can’t get enough of Traci Bisson lately. She is the savvy blogger behind the popular Mom Entrepreneur - a site dedicated to helping women balance being a mother and running a business!

She knows firsthand what it’s like to be a mom entrepreneur. In addition to her intelligent and authentic site for working moms, she has her hands full raising two children and growing her own public relations firm, Bisson Barcelona. Her story is inspiring and probably one many of us can relate to:

Eight weeks after I returned from maternity leave, the company where I had been employed for five years went out of business. I decided to try doing my own thing and failed miserably. After another year of working for two different companies (the first laid off the department I worked in and the other was showing signs of going under), I decided to try entrepreneurship again.

On her site, she offers tips, resources and most importantly, online solidarity for mom entrepreneurs everywhere. She is currently running a great series featuring 30 amazing women who are great positive role models who have started their businesses in this crappy economy and are “making lemonade from lemons.”

Additionally, Traci also runs a free online support group:

Are you a mom entrepreneur struggling to balance motherhood and run a business? Then this interactive support group is for you. Join us for networking, support and ongoing discussions. Membership includes list of mom entrepreneur grants and contests, free PR opportunities and much more.

You have to check out this fabulous blog babe! She recently released her list of favorite publicists and PR firms! And it’s an honor that our pajama PR crew made this savvy entrepreneur’s list!
