			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Since many of us marketers are so pressed for time, there is nothing like a good &amp; geeky infographic to learn something new. <strong><a href="http://mashable.com/" target="_blank"> Mashable </a></strong>shared a great one yesterday in the article <strong><a href="http://mashable.com/2011/10/25/social-consumer-sharing-infographic/ " target="_blank">Social Consumers and the Science of Sharing [INFOGRAPHIC] </a></strong>that gives us an in depth look at the &#8220;new social consumer&#8221;  that  features consumer data from <strong><a href="http://www.mbooth.com/" target="_blank">M Booth</a></strong> and <strong><a href=" http://bynd.com/" target="_blank">Beyond</a></strong>.</p>
<p>It makes me think about HOW consumers make their purchasing decisions.  Where do consumers do their research? And how do you build brand evangelists?</p>

<p>•    In August 2011 mobile browsing represented 7.1% of all worldwide browsing activity.<br />
•    Between 2/2009 and 8/2011, mobile browser share grew by 1000%.<br />
•    25% (1 in 4) of mobile users expect to access the web from their device at least once a day.<br />
•    For online-only retailers, a mobile site can increase consumer engagement by as much as 85%.<br />
•    Website visitors are 51% more likely to do business with an online retailer if it has a mobile site.<br />
•    Mobile users are 88% more likely to do business with Auto Dealers if the website is optimized for mobile.<br />
•    In 2010 it was estimated that only 22% of the Alexa top 500 websites have optimized for mobile.</p>

<p>&#8220;I am buying words on PPC, but how do I know what words I can add based on what works?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8230;These are common questions asked when managing search engine marketing whether it is boosting search engine optimization (SEO) or managing pay per click (PPC) ads.</p>
<p>Normally, I use the <a title="Google Keyword tool" href="https://adwords.google.com/o/Targeting/Explorer?__u=1000000000&amp;__c=1000000000&amp;ideaRequestType=KEYWORD_IDEAS#search.none" target="_blank">Google Keyword tool</a> which is good, but when I taught Search Engine Marketing at UC Berkeley Extension last weekend, Cuneyt Baycan (one of my brilliant professional students who is a great marketer), suggested I look at the Google Wonder Wheel.</p>
