Penelope is honest, fun, real, and she has marketing balls
Penelope Trunk is the ultimate blogger and founder of Brazen Careerist – a social network to help people manage their careers online. She gives great career advice and she is honest, fun, personal, and she has marketing balls – which is what I LOVE about her! She inspires me on a daily basis, to stay true to myself at work and home. Plus, she is super smart and her melodic blog posts – make me fall deeper in love with her. In a review of her blog, Business Week called Penelope’s writing “poetic.”
It was the video below, that made me fall in love with Penelope even more. Penelope was invited on CNN to discuss this tweet and blog post she did about trying to get an abortion in Wisconsin and her miscarriage at work. Penelope gets drilled by the interviewer about her “outspokenness” but she holds her ground, remains calm, and manages to show her fun personality. Penelope is also a great marketer and salesperson, during the interview, she also manages to promote her site and communicate her major brand message.

It doesn’t matter where you stand on these issues… you can’t deny how magnetic her honesty is. She is so real – she makes you see how beautiful and painful the truth can be. Nicki- thanks for turning me on to this amazing woman!
