Web Marketing Therapy is about learning, giving, growing and loving the web as a support tool to build credibility, boost visibility, increase usability and of course, maximize sell-ability.
Web marketing management needs to be viewed as an investment, not something you have to “spend time” on. When web marketing work launches from a healthy foundation, the sky is the limit.
Today’s Web Marketing Rx is: Don’t Cry Web Marketing SOS! Use the web to celebrate success!
Using the web to celebrate success is a fun, functional and financially savvy way to use the web to boost credibility, visibility and ultimately, sell-ability.
Example: Your company gets a nice mention in the media, wins a new deal, launches a new product or enhances a service. You all do a party dance, emails spread around the company…this is great for morale, but useless for web marketing.
CELEBRATE SUCCESS ONLINE! Email your news to your email list, do a blog post, write a press release, add it to your press page, Facebook it and Tweet it.
Never ASSUME people know your great news and never, ever ASSUME people don’t want to know what your successes are. Use what you’ve got to get what you want. Web Marketing is a communication medium…celebrations are a positive way to make a positive marketing impact!
On the web, you need to tell people, tell people what you told them and tell them one more time…use multiple web marketing mediums to communicate, collaborate and accelerate business. Multi-tasking marketing works wonders to create collateral that supports your business goals.

Lorrie – thanks for this great reminder to celebrate our success – I’m often moving form task to task at light speed so this was a good excuse to take a break and reflect on recent accomplishments. Though i can promote the heck out of clients, I sometimes forget to toot my own horn, but here goes: Big PR Win – I got a client in the Wall Street Journal while in my pajamas – i love doing pajama PR. They are getting great feedback and visibility from the article too : ) [I'm sharing this on our Web Marketing Therapy LinkedIn Group too as you've inspired me to tell it multiple times on multiple channels!]
