Organizations are doing great things on Twitter – and it’s not just buzz. There are examples cropping up every day of how Twitter is helping businesses connect directly with people in ways that could never have been imagined before. Ellen DeGeneres used Twitter recently when she visited the UCSD campus and sent students on various challenges to win prizes galore! But what if you’re not Ellen?

From the hyper local successes of small businesses like the Kogi BBQ truck in Los Angeles (a viral phenomenon dubbed the “Kogi Effect”) and Naked Pizza in New Orleans using Twitter as a real-time messaging service to promote their businesses, it’s clear that there’s still a lot of potential yet to be uncovered and harnessed for both small and big businesses.
