Lorrie started a LinkedIn Group called Wild Web Women and it has been a great source of inspiration and encouragement! One of the groups inspiring Wild Web Women is Shelley Ryan! She is the Chief Sharpshooter (and Founder) of Killer Webinars a fun-loving company (we love to have fun too at Web Marketing Therapy, so we know fun when we see it), offering a great way for you to create your very own killer webinars! Aside from her ability to bring her expertise to building awesome webinars, Shelley shares some great insight on a recent blog post. She shared the story of the Elephant and the Stake.
As part of their training, baby elephants are chained to a stake in the ground. The baby pulls and struggles to break the chain, but due to their small size, they are unable to break free. Eventually the elephant gives up trying. Regardless of their HUGE size and ABILITY to free themselves-they are held back by their FALSE BELIEF that they CAN’T break free from the tiny little chain.
This story is such a great reminder to take a close look at what is holding YOU back from success. What beliefs do you hold that don’t allow you to accomplish your goals?
You CAN break free, you just have to TRY!
