Keep the Link Love Alive!
Clients are always asking how they can get more traffic on their blog. Frequent posts and killer content are great starts…but another really great way to get people visiting your blog and talking about you out on the world wide web are links!
When it makes sense, you can link phrases in your post to some other website or blog, or internally link it back to your own blog. It’s a good idea to link back to authority sites such as Wikepedia or other highly ranked and respected sites. If you are linking to another blog or website, this sometimes acts as a catalyst for that blogger or website owner to come check out your site and the love circle begins! If you have followed our earlier advice to set up a google analytics account, then you can simply log into your account and see who is linking back to your blog or site.
If you are like us, you will pour over the statistics and see who is linking back to your site, where your site traffic is coming from or you might google your own name to see where you are coming up on the web. People usually find out when you link to them, especially other bloggers and they will in turn, visit your blog to see what you said about them AND if you say something they like, they will link back to you and might even begin following your blog and then you have the circle of web love!
