Update Your Facebook Status from Twitter When You Want – Selectively – Not All Tweets!

Did you see Michelle Obama’s shorts during her Grand Canyon visit recently?  How dare . . . . . .  anyone from the public or media criticize her! Come on America!  Last I heard it was possible for a woman to select to wear shorts any time of year.  Just like it is now possible to select what Twitter tweets you want to update your Facebook status with!

I just stumbled across a cool tool in Facebook that allows you to update your Facebook status from Twitter selectively! This means that every last tweet won’t be sent to your Facebook status – just the tweets that you want!   (A great way to pretend you aren’t on Facebook and Twitter ALL the time!)

It’s called SELECTIVE TWITTER STATUS (search for it on Facebook) and basically all you have to do to configure the application for your Facebook profile is enter your Twitter username (how easy is that?).

Then end a tweet with #fb when you want it to update your Facebook status – simple.

Here’s more info from the creator (@andyy):

- Avoid confusing your Facebook friends
- Don’t swamp your profile with too many updates
- Leave certain updates on Facebook for longer

NEW: Now also works with Fan Pages – not just personal profiles!
Note: It doesn’t work if your updates are PROTECTED

I tried it and it works!  Hooray for Selective Twitter Status and for a First Lady who wears shorts!

Off to try #fb (nerdy happiness!)

Thanks for the great share Anne!

    AND as for Michelle’s shorts…
    1. She is beautiful, embodies health and can pull off anything
    2. Men dress SO BAD and that never makes news…what the hell is up with that?
    3. Women – use the new #fb feature and support Michelle’s fashion choices!
