As many of you know, Google is the the largest and most widely used search engine. YouTube (powered by Google) is the web’s second largest search engine.
Besides being a place to store your video content, YouTube has some massive multitasking marketing power that can be tapped to help boost search visibility, not only within searches in YouTube, but to help pull listings on Google search engine results pages (on www.Google.com) as well.
My latest Web Marketing Today article called Optimizing Your YouTube Videos for Search Engines shares are some easy steps to optimize visibility on videos you already have on YouTube as well as ones that you may be adding to your YouTube channel.
One of WMT’s sparking clients, Santa Barbara Jeweler Calla Gold, was our video example.

Lorrie Thomas Ross,
How many ways do I love this great advice?
A lot. I’ve saved it and plan to use it as a template for my future tagging etc of each video I put up. I plan to have more videos done.
Thank you for making sure that I not only have good videos but that I get found. Cuz really if I don’t, I’ve missed the whole point of doing educational videos!
Thank you my Web Marketing Therapist, for finding out what ailed me in my YouTube back end and prescribing change. I feel better already!
Happy Client, Calla Gold
