I was recently interviewed for an article in Investor’s Business Daily on the topic of Social Media Posts Gone Wrong. Amy Alexander wrote a great piece on what business owners can do if someone on their staff (or outside vendors) “didn’t mean to post it”.
The advisory team at Web Marketing Therapy gets called in a LOT with “SOS!” cries from corporations or management teams who have employees who have left a negative mark by inappropriately Tweeting or Facebooking something that is not ON BRAND or ON PURPOSE.
Amy’s piece is a great article that employers should read and is in line with what we advise on. As I said in the social media article, part of being human is having “oops” moments. The article follows with tips and advice on how to handle social media posting snafus with class and authenticity.
