Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is not just for big business, especially in this time of economic crisis.  Small Businesses need to get over thinking small…Small Biz can get BIG with web marketing.  In fact, small organizations are rocking the web world with smart search strategy because they are savvy and lack bureaucracy to get things done!  Below are two articles that have great tips that we wanted to share…get smart…healthy marketing = wealthy small organizations!

Must Read #1- I was quoted recently in Tech News World on SEM and the Small Biz: Desperately Seeking Success, where I share one of my fave she-geek tools to baseline SEO success, HubSpot’s Website Grader, a free (we love free!) tool that measures success of a website.  Erika Morphy’s article has great tips and expert opinions.

Must Read #2 - I authored a piece for WilsonWeb on SEO Secrets for Locally Based Business.  I believe wholeheartedly that this recession crisis is no excuse for local businesses to experience marketing depression. In fact, it’s a great time to take advantage of your network of contacts and your geographic location.  My article gives 5 SEO Secrets to boost visibility if your organization has a geo-based presence.  Get SEO Smart - read the full SEO Secrets article.

The Chinese character for the word “crisis” has two characters; one symbolizes danger, the other opportunity.  There is nothing dangerous about implementing local search secrets to boost visibility.  The economic crisis is prime time to learn and launch web marketing best practices for visibility, credibility and traffic.
