Tweetmeme makes it simple to embed a retweet button on your blog posts.

I’ve been seeing these awesome retweet buttons popping up on many of my favorite sites (like Mashable and the Toilet Paper Entrepreneur). Of course, I’ve also noticed that these sites tend to receive a large amount of RTs on Twitter!

Retweet Buttons Encourage Users to Tweet Your Content

After some investigating with the help of Wei Wang, our Marketing Chiquita, we found a cool Retweet button created by Tweetmeme, a site that aggregates all the popular links on Twitter.

Tweetmeme provides a Retweet button for a number of different platforms – including a great Wordpress plug-in! All we have to do is install some geeky code and Boom! (Our Retweet buttons will be up soon – can’t wait!!!)

Easy Tweeting for Your Readers

Make it easy for your blog posts to spread virally! Let’s face it – the less work you ask your users to do, the more likely they are to do it.

With one click – the Retweet Button automatically redirects readers to their Twitter profile. And here’s the best part: A pre-written tweet is already waiting for them in their status window followed by a link in the form of a shortened URL. Now all they have to do is click “update.”

Plus, after someone tweets out your content, the counter on the Retweet button adds one more retweet to the tally!

With one click - users are redirected to a pre-written tweet their status window followed by a link in the form of a shortened URL.

As Don Reisinger points out: There’s a viral element to the Retweet button. A single user who retweets an article can drive thousands of people to the story, especially if the person’s followers retweet as well. “Pass-along” traffic from retweets is becoming an important page view generator.

So what are you waiting for? Embed retweet buttons on your site to boost your business, enhance awareness and increase traffic!
