It happens at least once a day! I write my email, double check for spelling and grammatical errors (you should do this too every time you send a professional email!) and hit “SEND” only to realize I forgot the attachment or failed to copy someone important on the email.
GOOGLE UNDO TO THE RESCUE!
In an effort to improve the capabilities of the Gmail system, they offer a way to correct those mistakes! Now, if you send an email and realize the second after you send it that you forgot something, all you have to do is hit “UNDO” and you can redeem yourself by correcting the mistake and no one is the wiser for it!
In order to enable this awesome tool, visit your google labs, which can be accessed by clicking on this icon
found in the top right side of the page, right next to your settings link and then looking for the UNDO SEND lab. Simply click enable and SAVE and you are now ready to look like a rock star! This negates the follow up email that you would typically send saying “Sorry I forgot to cc you on this email! Please see below”!

Great tip, Kelly! I’ve already used the undo function TWICE since this blog post! What a lifesaver – thanks!
