Today’s weekly dose of healthy marketing motivation was inspired by Ryan Dunn, a video production professional I interviewed on our Marketing Therapist Blog Talk Radio Show last week.
Ryan gave us a TON of healthy advice - tips for doing web videos successfully on your own (or on a low budget) Be sure to listen to the show! My post today was inspired by how Ryan signs his email, he includes the motivational quote below:
“Always remember you’re unique, just like everyone else.”
Marketing is about maximizing relationships. When you want people to buy and work with you, they have to WANT to work with you and to do that, we need to communicate our distinction.
We are unique…just like every other organization…but if we COMMUNICATE and OWN it, then you have a marketing edge!
Your uniqueness is your marketing magic. Do not be afraid to tap your authenticity, be who you are, show your company culture, share what makes you distinct and set yourself apart from the competition.
On paper, your organization probably does the same thing that your competition does. Behind the scenes, you know what makes your approach distinct and the value of what you do (and if you don’t, STOP and figure this out yesterday!!) Sharing your distinction and having a unique approach or point of view = money honey!
Get ready for marketing success. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!
#1 – Write down what makes your company, product, service, approach, etc UNIQUE.
#2 – Check your marketing materials (website, brochures, tagline, email messages, etc.) and see if your uniqueness and VALUE are communicated clearly.
#3 – Where you see areas to improve, DO IT!
Make it a meaningful marketing week and set the tone for a healthy new year!!
