We miss 100 percent of the sales we don’t ask for
-Zig Ziglar
Successful organizations and business people know who they are, they understand the value of what they do and they OWN IT to boost business.
Are you missing sales because you aren’t asking?
Web marketing marries the science of technology (sites, blogs, social media, email management technology, etc) with the art (message, copy, design, etc) to support organizations as they continually build awareness, educate, share information, create connections, serve customers, and ultimately…make sales.
I was talking with one of my fellow Wild Web Women last week about our most successful clients and WHY they were so successful. Their pattern is simple:
1. They understand the meaning of web marketing
2. They are willing to invest in a healthy web marketing foundation
3. They are continually working on optimizing their web marketing efforts (adding content, pages, working on SEO, testing new ideas, channels)
4. THEY KNOW HOW TO CLOSE DEALS. Once the web work builds visibility and credibility and they are out of our hands and into the client’s, they can get that ball through the hoop with their eyes closed.
Your products and services are the main attraction (for the sake of education, think of this as Batman). Web Marketing is your trusty sidekick (we will call this Robin to keep the analogy rolling) Read more about how You are Batman and Web Marketing is Robin.
Web marketing supports generating leads, getting inquiries, building credibility, boosting visibility, and more but sales happen (especially for those of us in the service business) by being able TO ASK FOR THE SALE.
Do your follow up emails ask for the sale? Do your phone calls ask for the sale? Is your website geared to funnel people to take action and get closer to getting to the sale?
Look hard at your marketing efforts (online and offline) All the cool tech tools in the world still need the art of marketing and sales behind them to seal the deal
