“Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work”

-Aristotle

I usually rant that perfectionism is unhealthy in marketing, as the desire to be perfect holds us back from doing any work at all….BUT, thanks to my gal pal, Santa Barbara Interior Designer Sam Keeping, who sent me an article (from Costco of all places!) about Ancient Words of Wisdom to Ensure a Future where the book, Winning Through the Art of Words, Mark Clemente’s Guide to Interpersonal Influence to Sell Yourself or Anything! was mentioned, I read the quote above from Aristotle and noticed my paradigm was shifting…

If we take pride and pleasure in what we are doing, we can naturally perfect our practice.  NOTE – my annunciation is to perfect not be perfect…different emphasis on word pronunciation and definition.

Whether we are the best tax relief advisers, egg white company, law school admission expert, underwater basket weaver, Texas MBA school or children’s book illustrator (you get where I am going) it is the PLEASURE we have for our profession that makes us perfect it (in our own authentic way).

Today’s marketing motivation (and tough love) is simple – Professional Pleasure = Perfection.  If you don’t like what you are doing, then fix that first before you try implement marketing on a company, cause or creation.

Web Marketing Therapy is all about serving passionate professionals, we support people who are dedicated, happy and ready to own their success.

If you love what you do, then you can perfect it….and have a ball in the process!!  :-)   May your marketing be a professional pleasure, it’s the only way to fly!

Such simple advice that so many people just don’t seem to follow….

Calling out what so many people don’t seem to follow is what starts the recovery process. It it tough to stare into the mirror sometimes and face realities….but we have to start with the core issues first!

Band aiding symptoms doesn’t do anyone any good until the cause is treated…

I call myself the “no fun lady” because people call me and want me to do “magical web work” to make them money, but if I am not feeling that they love their profession or are ready to do their part, I call that out…I can’t work wonders when there is no professional passion….

Thanks for the comment – keep reading!!!
