There’s a Japanese philosophy, Kaizen, that is about improving continually over time through a series of small steps. While updating the design of your site, there will be milestones you’ll hit, but generally, design is a process, not a destination. So, when working on your website, remember Kaizen because there is no final version, nor do you want there to be.
Improvements can always be made. Websites, especially those built in a modular way with a flexible design, will allow you to introduce changes at any time. Just like your business evolves to meet new goals and customer demands, your website, as an extension of your brand and a vehicle to expand your business, should evolve.
Whether you identify problems while tracking hits and blindspots, or just want to update your design to keep your site looking fresh and modern, keep in mind that a website is like a living thing; it grows, evolves and changes over time. The more flexible your approach, the more successful your investment will become.

I’m down with Kaizen Kate!
It’s all about building the right marketing foundation FIRST then making continual additions/optimizations over time. I change http://www.lorriethomas.com content all the time. Our sites are living and growing….if we can all think webSOLUTION (not web site), we can save the web marketing planet, one website at a time!
