Google Profile Business Cards?!

So now you know about Google Profiles and Kate told you how to Manage Your Online Identity. You may have already heard the buzz today, but in case you haven’t, Google is giving away 250,000 Google profile business cards. The first 10,000 people who claim them will each receive 25 cards with Google’s logo and their own profile URL. If you have a profile, check for a link at the top once you’re logged in.

Odds are the 10,000 are gone at this point. But it’s an interesting marketing move — even Google needs a little buzz boost now and then! This gets people using profiles and viewing profiles, plus it has Google’s branding and you can bet a few people are saying “YEAH!” right now. The thing is, for the excited Google fans, will they decide to hand them out? Eventually yes, I’m sure — just be sure if you get yours, that you have a rockin’ profile and that you use them! Of course they’re no replacement for your own branded marketing materials… we’re all about design synergy here! How would you use your Google profile cards?
