Today our online tutorial taught you how to optimize your email marketing campaign. You are welcome to view the recorded tutorial if you were unable to attend the live webcast.

As the email marketing coordinator at Web Marketing Therapy, not only do I get to create helpful online tutorials like the one today, I also get to experiment with email newsletters—learn what works, what doesn’t, and present solutions to my clients that elicit positive reactions.

In my experience, I find Constant Contact a great technology to work with because it offers hundreds of ready-to-use email templates (saving you email template design time), contact list segmentation (so you can customize different email lists for different people), and it’s 100% spam-safe (so that your email will be in the recipient’s Inbox instead of Spam folder.)

Currently, 85% of all Web Marketing Therapy clients are using Constant Contact as their email management system. If you’d like to see what the buzz is all about, you can sign up for their FREE 60-day trial!

    Wei-

Love your Web Marketing project and what you and Lorrie are doing to wake up and challenge conventions regards marketing in the wild, wild world of the Internet– been doing it myself since 1995 (e.g. back in the Neanderthal days). ;-)

I don’t know if you had a chance to check into other email marketing programs but after using ConstantContact for anyone who does a fair degree of email marketing, it can get expensive.

Have you considered PHPList?? It’s FREE and you can setup on virtually any server if you have the expertise and if you don’t, many ISP hosts provide it as a basic service. Plus, you can create ANY HTML template/format that you can download from any of a few dozen sites that offer them, modify them and use for your newsletter. If you want me to send you a sample of ours, I’d be happy to do so.

    Cheers,
    Stu

    Hi Stuart,

Thank you so much for your kind words! I haven’t tried PHP list…just looked it up online–seems like a great program. I’d love to see what you have created with it! You can send that to wei@webmarketingtherapy.com

As the email marketing campaign manager for WMT, it always gets me really excited to see that people out there genuinely value the information we provide. Keep it up with your support! Thanks again Stuart!

    Stuart,
Thanks for the post! We have not tested http://www.phplist.com/ yet, but my inner she-geek wants to get on that! :-)

We recommend Constant Contact to our small business owner readers, students, entrepreneurs and marketing professionals because of the great 60 day free trial, wealth of info available to people who have questions, the ease of use (for those of us un-tech-savvy who don’t have tech teams for setup) and for the low cost overall.

CC is a great email starter tool, but yes, there are others and I can’t wait to see what you have done with PHP list!
    Happy Marketing!
