When I travel to San Francisco to teach Web Marketing Classes for Berkeley Extension (I do workshops on their San Fran campuses) I always stay at the Hotel Triton.
Hotel Triton is part of the Kimpton eco-friendly hotel chain (WMT loves supporting eco-friendly and socially responsible companies!!)
The hotel’s decor, theme and staff has a rocking sense of humor. During my last stay, my door hanger that usually says “Privacy Please” was replaced with the door hanger to the right. HA!
Emilia did a great post called Have You Googled Yourself Lately? that started our Google giddiness. When hotel chains are changing their door hangers to share the Google love, I say it’s time to face the fact that our personal and professional brands are impacted by Google….would you agree?

Personal searches on Bing have actually showed me much better results than in Google. Try it out, its pretty cool and demonstrates how Bing is more warm and fuzzy while Google is more commerce driven.
Hmmm…. I wonder which model makes more money?

Hey Miguel – define what is “better”…I Binged myself and the “other” Lorrie Thomas who is a murderer is still coming up and f-ing with my search results…argh!!
Now as for making money honey, Google does not have Microsoft Office as part of it’s income generation suite so it is tough to compare apples to oranges, ya know?

My name “Rob Abdul” for the last 3 years has been my brand name.
Google has 3,360,000 results for my name Rob Abdul.
I was so proud when my name appeared in Google suggest.
It may not sound like much but at least 60 to 80 people Google me a month.
It is nice for the Ego, I must admit!
