I am at home clacking away on election eve. I declined an invite to an election party because I can’t drive, move or eat. So I am doing what all web marketing women do in times of anxitey – I am working, twittering and trolling YouTube.
I have days where I wonder while I twitter (OMG! FOLLOW ME!) twitter.com/webtherapist what the hell happened to me – does anyone really care that I have a marketing crushe on Seth Godin or that my business partner’s dog ate a highlighter?
Then the answer becomes clear. I see viral marketing videos like the one below (which is funny and scary all at the same time) and I realize that twitter is taking over…and that this new marketing medium has me addicted, marketing therapy treated and comic relieved all at the same time.
I have nothing profound to say about the election because I can’t breathe. And almost every other blogger has commented today, so I’d prefer to be passive aggressive on this current event and just read everyone else’s commentary.
I will email my students links to Wolf Blizer’s hologram interview in the name of cool marketing while I hold my breath and pray for change. And while I wait to exhale, I will try to smile and twit my way to a new leader decision.
