HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY: Create a Hearty, Healthy Business! Use a Passionate Higher Vision & Attentive Love!
What’s LOVE got to do with business and marketing??? –A LOT!
The pursuit of business success is not a solo endeavor and it is not for the light-hearted. Being an entrepreneur takes a brave, strong heart. –One that knows how to connect, to serve…and dare I say, “to hopefully, love.”
It may sound sappy or sacran-sweet; but when you build mutual affection (or love) between you/your company and your target market – you have greater potential brand power and long-term success.
Yes… there are those who’ve become rich using other powers, displaying a more Machiavellian –even a heartless and deceptive approach. But, I believe in today’s age, our power lies more strongly than ever, in our ability to understand, connect, and to authentically relate and serve people (our customers/clients).
Business is busy-ness, which takes the form of an organization, guided by purpose and service. The degree of THOUGHTFUL MEANING and SUCCESS built into it, is up to us… our LEADERSHIP and TEAMWORK.
Here are 5 points to help empower your organization’s success with added passion and connective-affinity …LOVE:

1. Create a company vision and plan, backed with enlightened passion.
Create a unifying Vision with higher-purpose that you and your team can stand behind and support. This goes a long way in building motivation, momentum, teamwork and enthusiasm within your organization as well as your customers. (Read the book, The One Minute Millionaire –The Enlightened Way to Wealth -By Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen)
2. Draw from you and your team’s passions and uniqueness for greater authenticity.
Introspectively assess you and your team’s unique strengths, passions and desires. When they are translated and expressed in your marketing outreach, it powerfully impacts your organization and your customers. Your company will simply stand out. And, customers naturally respond well to enthusiasm and authenticity. (See the Blog entitled “Create a Powerful Brand – Get Connected & Emotional!”)
3. Say “YES” and become INVOLVED –Build RELATIONSHIPS!
It’s not enough to sit back. You need to become involved and become active. Do marketing outreach and social networking. Success is driven so much by how well you can cultivate relationships –especially with acquaintances, people you’ve just met! (Statistics are showing this more and more). Give wisely of your time, be helpful and educational in your community -in person and on-line. All these activities work to build credibility, trust, and a growing customer-base.
4. Use good matchmaking to build a perfect customer love-match for your business. –This can become your valuable market NICHE!
It’s diluting to try and be all things to all people. Focus on your strengths, abilities, uniqueness… and how to best meet the needs of specific customer groups (market segments). This is how you best love yourself and your customers. And, don’t be afraid to express “tough-love” and decline involvement with activities or people who do not align with your values and directional vision. 5. Remember, “LOVE” is more than a state-of-mind; it’s a VERB. –-Take action with compassion!
Show that you care, by listening and responding to the needs and desires of the marketplace (and your team). It’s critical for success!
