Blogging Best Practices put your blog to work for you!

We love it when our clients jump on the blogging bandwagon. But the work doesn’t end there. While we love seeing new posts pop up on their blogs, we’re constantly coaching them from the sidelines on how to use their blog to provide great value to users while gaining relevance and attracting traffic!

Here are a few quick tips on how to incorporate some blogging best practices.

Use DESCRIPTIVE KEYWORDS (geographic and industry-specific tags, etc) in titles and text whenever possible and appropriate. Also try to hook readers upfront with the What and Why of your post!

The easier it is for users to know EXACTLY what your post is about, the easier it is for search engines to index it!

Don’t forget to LINK BACK TO YOUR OWN SITE! You can also link back and reference previous posts you’ve written to provide additional information on a topic and give new life to archived posts. This is easy to do, but we often overlook it in all the excitement of pushing the “publish” button.
